Friday - March 3rd, Last of 3 days off.
Had a pretty filled day.
slept in till 930 and checked surf. Tide was high and 3ft or so onshore mess. A few guys at the point but it looked like the ultimate crap so I took my mate Amber, who is a blast from the past in the boogy boarding world, to the Gym for a whirl. Showed her what I normally do. We did about 1&a half to 2 hours, of boxing, weights then kickboxing to finish.
Good to see Amber have a go - but it kinda killed her.
Anyway - after we finished, I went shopping. After that, I came home and went out the point for a surf. Tide was low and it was breaking out at 2nd reef and mushing through to first. I fell off a few and whimped out on one take off on first reef cause it sucked hard so I opted to dive for a lobster instead. Last wave was nice and got up, rode accross the face and snapped up the top, when coming back inside, it had a nice wall where I tried to pump right accross - it sucked dry and I fell off, but luckily not directly on to the cunji. I was pretty stoked that I got at least one good ride. The shoulder feels kinda wierd, maybe it is because I gave it a rub before I went out...
Wed 8 March,
Again the weight has gone up - twice this week, I have weighed in at 74kg. I have been going pretty much everyday after work.
From Friday the 17th March till Tuesday (inc) I had a cold and have not been eating lots of food or been doing training or anything at all. Just been here on the PC - happily getting distracted by friends keeping me company.
I should have done some of my office work, like accounting whilst I was here...
Anyway, nothing to report.

Im still sick from last week (the 17th) and have some sort of virus. Feeling good for a few hours then really bad for a while.
Saturday April 8.
A week of ups and downs. Found out what maybe is the problem with my stomach. It was due to stress and could be a stomach ulcer. It was getting somewhat better cause I had some happyness for a few days, then felt real sad again, so I am not feeling good and dont have desire to do anything. Surf is good and I dont care. No gym. No training, just depressed all day long.
Was going to go to the gym, but my trainer called to say he couldnt make it (again!) so it wasnt so bad after all, cause my stomach is bad like last week and I don't really feel like going anyway. I've lost all the weight that I put on - so now I'm under 69kg. Dam cost me lots of money, effort and time to put that weight on (up to 74kg). Moods have been up and down. No surfing in the super big waves last weekend. They were the biggest in some areas in Sydney for at least 10 years - so the media said. It was up there with the huge NE swell of 4-5 years ago with the Shark Island Challenge swell. I'm not physically fit to get thrashed anyway. Mentally I think I can ride big waves cause they are stressful.
April 18.
I have had 3 days in a row of happyness. Pretty stoked with that. Stomach has not been giving me any dramas either. I forgot my shorts today, but I will start training at Gym again tmrw.
Everything is getting back to normal once again. I've been going back ot the gym and even had a few surfs. I'm super tired after gym though, so just a few more sessions to get the stamina and strength back. Off to hospital on Friday to get a camera stuck down my throat to see what is going on inside my stomach.
Shoulder is not too good. Pretty sure boxing hammers it.
Had to barr a business meeting cause I was too tired.
Anyway - nothing exciting...
Hopefully much more training in the next 2 days...

Been training and surfing fairly regular since last entry.
A few weeks I took guy (my personal trainer) our for a ride on the long boards up at Wanda on a fun little bank. it was cold and sunny - offshore and 2ft sets, peeling in to the shorie, kinda fat waves - just perfect for us beginners. Had a great time.
Besides this week, i've been pretty much training 3-4 times a week. Occasionally going up to AFTA Taekwondo and had a few days off (here and there) spent training with a Japanese kickboxer - Fujimoto. He is the same height and weight as I but he looks real scary. We had a few good sparring sessions of fun. He is cut up really well, and trains for about 6 hours a day - and I'd like to try and do that as well one day.
Took JJ - my mate from kirra to the gym after we had a surf the other day and he was tired just watching. It was kinda funny cause he couldnt do a thing, so he took ages to show. and he had no energy so that made it harder for him, so i've gotta get him motivated in to cross training and learning about nutrition and how it relates to the rest of life.
Robbie was down also from Port and bombed out in the jet ski tow out comp - not happy JAN....
The French boys, Robbie, Jaymie and I had a day with Dad shooting pix down at Garie. The shots turned out pretty good. it was 2-3ft and perfect.
Robb and French got some good ones out at suckrock while I had to work :-(
Also been going to the home games of the sharks. Took Bisho from work, and Matty G from USA and Reggie. Got maggot and cant remember what I did. Apparently I was causing a bit of havok around the place and on the way home takleing Bisho (or trying to) on the way home... I have no idea, dosnt sound like me. Had double and triple shots of scotch in coke before the game - but it was the crap beers at the game that made me feel like crap - im sure. Wifey had to take me to work cause I was too pissed to drive the next morning and as soon as I turned on the lights in there - I spewed and needed to lay down for a little while while I came to my senses. Lucky for me it was a quite day and I had a good team on. Definatley not how a leader leads a team of guys (but they didnt know I went out) I just told them my gut felt bad, but I got better through the morning and day - thank God! Never drinking that crap beer again - or that much so fast. (that story is a few weeks old now)..
We are going to the footy tmrw for my first non sharks game.
Gonna see Bunnies run over the meanly seagulls;
Going with the boys from work (footy heads); Bisho, Craig, Pete Bolognase etc.... I chose Manly in my footy tips but my heart goes for the bunnies cause they have a pretty good team on paper and Manly are missing a few of their stars.. Go the bunnies - go the Peach. (Im a closet bunnies fan)
Been recommending olive leaf extract to freinds/collegues when they are sick with flu/cold; results of those who took it are perfect. within 48 hours the symptoms are going.
also went to a seminar on well being with Amber last night - the speaker touched a little on a lot of things. It was good. Got a lot out of it - or good for a refresh course....

This guy rang me up at 2am to see what I was doing. My Wife said "who the hell is that wierdo ringing you" and I told her to settle down it was Craig from work - he was pissed and still dancing about" Anyway - Craig is lucky Mrs Menzies dosnt chop him in to Rabbit stew.
Sunday Aug 13 and I took Guy - my personal trainer / mate, out for a surf at midway. It was 3ft and fun. I surfed for close to 2 hours I think and the shoulder got a little shabby. Later that day I had to work and started to get a sore throat.
Mon Aug 14 woke to 4-6ft straight south swell. Darryl called me to come out to Voodoo for a shoot. It was great out there but 30 surfers dominated the lineup and 1 booger "Rissole".
I jumped out to a thick and ok wave at Suckrock.
Later that day the flu had got the better of me and I have been feeling a little crapo for the past 3 days now. Still hitting the olive leaf and some other herbs.

My shoulder feels sore.
Im only getting about 3 days off this month and working pretty much 10 hour days so I hope to have a few dollars saved for Japan at the end of the month.
